Real Wedding: Teacup Inspired Wedding in Tuscany

This creative, beautiful wedding in Tuscany was a fabulous blend of Sarah and Jody’s many wedding visions. After deciding to have a destination wedding in Italy, when the couple pulled up to Podere Ciona in the heart of Chianti, Tuscany, they knew it was the place. The view over the rolling Tuscan fields, the scent of lavender and rosemary in the air, and the golden light cast by the setting sun on the ancient stones of the family home is enchanting. The couple created a magical world for their guests – a complete escape in a world of whimsy and imagination. The inspiration idea? In a teacup! The bride had a fabulous collection of teacups and loved their swirls of color and mixture of florals, which was the perfect inspiration for a vintage garden party set in this gorgeous backdrop.

These beautiful wedding photos by Aubrey Joy Photography highlight the multiculturalism of the wedding, which brought together the couple’s British and Chinese heritage. The bride’s family is British and Scottish. She absolutely loved that her family always showed up to weddings wearing a hat or fascinator so she encouraged guests to follow suit. The bridesmaids and flower girls had the most amazing and whimsical fascinators – it added such a fun touch and made them all look like flowers on a teacup. The couple was also able to find a bagpiper in Siena to complete the Scottish effect. As for the groom’s background, they payed homage to the his heritage with a short tea ceremony.
