Real Wedding: A Traditonal Costa Rican Celebration

This is a tropical destination wedding with a twist. It was not about about getting away, but about the blending of two cultures and a couple starting their life together. This couple met while attending college in the U.S., but they soon decided they wanted to move back to the bride’s homeland of Costa Rica. They are now living and working on the bride’s family farm. The groom was born and raised in New York, so his family flew down to celebrate their wedding with Costa Rican flair. A Brit & A Blonde did an amazing job shooting the outdoor ceremony and using the romantic night lighting!

The happy pair were married at the Hacienda Pinilla in the gorgeous Guanacaste province, and tropical inspiration was everywhere! The tables were decorated with driftwood centerpieces, and they gave guests super sweet jars of honey to say “thank you”. To enhance the Costa Rican experience, they brought in La Mascarada to entertain guests. La Mascarada is a very old Costa Rican tradition where a parade of larger than life masked figures put on a show. Guests laughed and danced to traditional music well into the evening. We just love this stunning beach location and the romantic photographs of the couple enjoying the Costa Rican paradise!

Thanks again to A Brit & A Blonde for a look at this tropical Costa Rican wedding!
