Real Weddings: Sweet Home Kentucky

Brett and Renee dreamed of having a scenic outdoor ceremony on Brett’s parents’ mountain property in North Carolina. But if planning a wedding wasn’t enough of a task on its own, making all the arrangements remotely from their home in Ohio. They decided instead to find a nearby venue that was beautiful both in and out of doors to account for the possibility of May showers on their special day the following year. They found that perfect place in local Drees Pavilion in Covington, Kentucky, but unfortunately it wasn’t smooth sailing for the couple just yet! With every weekend in May booked for the next two years, it seemed like this venue might be out of their reach as well. But after falling in love with Drees on a tour, Renee opted for a not-quite-traditional Thursday wedding on the last week of May 2010. From there, everything seemed to fall into place. The staff helped with every detail, Brett picked the caterer, and Renee found a florist friend in the Yellow Canary. After a wedding wild goose chase, Renee and Brett were finally married in a charming outdoor ceremony colored by extravagant pink floral arrangements and a stunning city-scape as a backdrop. Our thanks to D’Attoma Studios for letting us experience the magic of Brett and Renee’s long-awaited wedding!

We live in Cincinnati, OH, actually, but thanks for choosing our wedding. We highly suggest our vendors; they worked with us through all the planning! The Yellow Canary just did my frien’ds wedding, who was a bridesmaid in our wedding, too. Kristen with Yellow Canary really helped everything turn out perfectly, she was much more than simply a florist. Thanks again for your post.
