Wanted Imagery is closing our week with the great news that Kelly and Steve, a smiling couple who have been married for about eight years, are expecting a new addition to their family! Kelly, a friend and also a photographer, came up with a creative and fun way to announce the pregnancy. The couple arrived at the long grass field in Australia that stretches to the horizon with only a single tree in sight, carrying a blackboard and a cozy blanket. The heart-shaped blackboard announces the joyous news: “We are having a baby!”
Kelly looks stunning in her pink dress that pops against the green and gold grass, and the fading orange light at sunset, which really brings the focus on the expectant mom. The only thing that outshines the pink dress is the radiant smiles from Kelly and Steve. It’s a great way to capture and preserve the couple’s giddy excitement for family members and friends.
The field is pretty expansive and empty, but with the addition of the cozy blanket, it simply reminds us of a couple that’s snuggling together in the comfort of their home, and exudes a sense of a private, secluded getaway. It’s like they’re basking in the happy news of the pregnancy in a shy and caring way, without a care for the rest of their surroundings. So no matter how big the field or the sky may seem, the couple’s love seems to really fill the space.
