Today’s submissions from Diane Askew Photography and Scott Hopkins Photography are filled with beautiful inspiration for an outdoor destination weddings! Both couples use panoramic views, natural colors, and charming rustic details to highlight their respective venues and to bring a bit of outdoor charm to their ceremony and reception. The outdoor venues allowed the photographers to capture the event– and the views– with plenty of beautiful, natural light!
Our first couple, Jill and Rich, traveled all the way from Massachusetts to have a classic vineyard wedding in Santa Rosa, California. The couple chose the elegant Paradise Ridge Winery as their venue, and they made sure to bring elements of the vineyard into their ceremony and reception. Of course there was plenty of wine to go around, and even the cake was adorned by grapes! Colorful flowers from Fleurs de France added the final touch to this event, and photographer Diane Askew Photography was there to catch the couple as they toasted their nuptials among the vines! (She’s a master at capturing vineyard weddings; you may remember this Sonoma County wedding we featured earlier this year!)
Brooke and Aaron also chose to jet away for a destination wedding, this time to Hilton Head Island in Georgia, where the bride and her family had visited frequently while she was growing up. Family and friends traveled from Denver and Charlotte to attend the event, and the couple made the trip worthwhile with their stunning seaside ceremony and reception at the Hilton Head Marriott. Tall grasses and orange flower petals framed the ceremony space– though we imagine the guests could still hear the water from the ocean in the background! Scott Hopkins captured all of the wedding’s details, from the adorable sand dollar place cards to the paper lanterns that lit up the couple’sevening reception.
A special thanks to Diane Askew and Scott Hopkins for sharing these inspiring destination weddings!
