Today’s wedding shows how simple, DIY details can make a wedding both beautiful and uniquely personal. Amelia J Moore Photography was there to capture every aspect of Angela and Carson’s rustic April wedding in Louisiana.
The focal point of the event was the beautiful old maple tree set in the groom’s backyard, which served as the “altar” for their ceremony. Seventy-five guests sat on lovely hay-bails under the tree as the couple exchanged their vows. We love how they incorporated some vintage flair and “green” elements into their wedding with handmade flower jars hanging from the tree as well as some old family photos! The photographer really captured these great personal touches.
From the dried flower bouquets, to the handmade signs, to the individual place settings, this creative couple loved planning the details of their wedding ceremony and reception. Everything about the event says this is a homespun Louisiana wedding, complete with vintage vases and homemade pie. The couple even restored their own get-away car! Every element contributed to their rustic yet romantic theme while enhancing their charming, natural venue.
An old greenhouse served as the perfect backdrop for this couple’s romantic photo shoot. The photography is absolutely breathtaking, and we loved how the setting complimented their rustic outdoor theme!
At the reception, strings of white lights and candlelit tables created a warm glow for this evening setting. The couple and all their guests joined in to dance the night away to the tunes of a Louisiana blues band. What a fun ending to this beautiful outdoor wedding!
Thank you to Amelia J Moore Photography for submitting this rustic wedding! We love featuring events that create their own unique flair with custom, handmade details and personal touches.
