I recently got engaged to the fantastic Charlie Kettering. We have decided on an August 11, 2012 wedding at my home in the Central Coast of California. But now this means:
We are on the lookout for wedding vendors!
I am going to be posting about why we choose who we do and why we don’t choose others. I want to provide an honest client’s perspective on what sells, on what works, and what does not work. Granted, this is my perspective, and I cannot speak for all brides. But as a twenty something LOTS of my friends are going through the same process and I will do my best to keep their experiences in mind as I tell you mine.
I hope this insight can help wedding businesses market more effectively and find more clients!
So keep an eye out for The Client’s Perspective.

Looking forward to this!
I LOVE YOU for doing this. I try to keep in mine what I was looking for when I planned my own wedding and try to give that to my clients in all realms of my photography. Hearing it from another more current (even though I’m not old, don’t you call me old – lol) perspective.
I’m excited about this! Looking forward to your posts.
First, CONGRATS! And, second….I look forward to your observations!
oooo I’m looking forward to this also! Great idea, i’m sure we’ll all be grateful for your perspective!
I can’t wait to read your thoughts on this adventure. As a vendor myself (makeup artist) with great reviews and a good body of work, I get plenty of emails from brides asking for quotes. After I respond they never are heard from again. I have my own thoughts that may be saved for another time. I’ve done my research and know I have put myself in the middle price range, though my work is top quality. My close photographer friends have run into the same issue. I’m excited to hear your perspective as a client.
We’re available if you want to give us a go – we’d love to talk to you!
Your TBL Photographer,

Fabulous idea! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
What a great idea- I’m sure this will be insightful for everyone. Would love to be considered!
Not that they aren’t plenty of California photographers!
I look forward to hearing about the process!
Great idea! Looking forward to hearing about your experience
Will be checking back
. I’m always interested to find out about why brides choose one thing over another for their weddings… weddings are a big deal and planned only once, so wedding decisions are not the easiest decisions to make!
Excellent! As a wedding planner I look forward to hearing your perspective. We all want to deliver a great product to brides and agree with Morgan’s post.
This is really useful when I do get married and look forward to your update. Cheers, Cheryl
Congratulations and looking forward to it!
