Getting a real wedding feature gives you Exposure, Credibility, and Increased Revenue……so get submitting!!
Step 1
Upload an Event by clicking “Create an Event” on your Weddings and Events tab. Then follow the prompts. (If you have already uploaded the wedding you want to submit, you can skip this step.) Two things to keep in mind when uploading:
- Make sure you upload at least 50 publishable images
- Make sure to attach as many other vendors to the wedding as you can.
Doing these two things will dramatically improve your chances of being selected!
Step 2
Go to the Weddings and Events tab and select the wedding you want to submit. Then click on “Create,” then”Inspiration Board.” Using our easy drag-n-drop tools, select some images that really represent the look and feel of the wedding and click “Create” to create an Inspiration Board. Select a template and drag images to the spots where you want them and save.
This Inspiration Board will act as the “cover letter” for your submission, but it is not the only images the editor will see! They will have access to ALL of the images you have uploaded. If they like what they see in the inspiration board, they can click to see more!
Step 3
To create your submission, go to the Editorial tab and click “Submit a Real Wedding.” Select the Inspiration Board “cover letter” you created in the previous step. Then select which publication(s) to submit to. Be sure to select the publication carefully. A shot-gunned approach can make editors ignore you in the future!
Our exclusive editorial partners will only publish content if no other publication has published that content, thus, you may only select one from this list. Our non-exclusive partners are willing to publish content that may be featured elsewhere concurrently, so you can choose up to 10 publications from this list.
You can learn exactly what each editor wants by reading their bio pages!
That’s it you’re done!
Our next post will give you all the details about how long you can expect to wait, about publication schedules, being on hold, and the like.

great advice! I just just about to do my first submissions so I’m glad I read this first!
